News Update On PC Gaming : Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta Now Open To All On Xbox One And PC

The multiplayer beta test for the next entry to the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is now open to everyone on Xbox One and PC, following an update last night. Previously, the beta has been exclusively accessible via a code, with a majority being handed out alongside pre-orders. Playstation 4 owners were given a week's early access, on August 19, however after three days, the beta was opened to all using the console. The beta release on Xbox One and PC soon followed, and as of today, a code is no longer required to play.
From the onset, the beta offered three maps, hosting seven gamemodes, all within the multiplayer sandbox. Since its initial release, further content has been implemented, including new Specialists and maps. Last night’s update included a new map, Stronghold, alongside the new Reaper Specialist Class, which allows you to play as an experimental war robot, created in a now-abandoned military project. The level cap has also been raised to Level 34.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta can be accessed on Xbox One here, and on PC via Steam, here.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will release November 6, 2015 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PC.

News Gaming Update : Street Fighter V Will Come With 16 Characters Out Of The Box And Additional DLC Characters

Since the EVO fighting championship is currently on, the hype for the latest Street Fighter is at a record high. Even though fans are going to have to be patient for a little while longer before they get a chance to play Street Fighter V, the developers of the game Capcom released certain details about their latest instalment in the franchise at EVO.

This game is going to launch with sixteen playable characters that is only three characters less than the previous Street Fight IV which came with nineteen characters. You shouldn’t worry too much about this though since Capcom has worked very hard on getting rid of the “clone” characters and have tried to give every character a unique feel which is quite evident from the overhaul Ken has received.
Capcom is going to continue adding characters to the game through the DLC (downloadable content) which can be purchased in-game or even earned while you play. This is wonderful since players who do not want to spend days on the game can still purchase characters and make them usable right away while people who do not want to spend the extra money can rough it out and earn the characters.

Capcom is also going to be getting rid of those stupid re-releases like Ultra & Super which were released by the previous instalment. With Street Fighter V, players are only going to need the original release with every other update coming for free.

Street Fighter V is going to release next year during spring on the PS 4 and the PC. There is also an exclusive PS 4 Beta which is in the making and should be online by the 23rd of July.

News Apple iOS Update : How To Download The iOS 9 Public Beta

Apple’s iOS 9 public beta is now available to test, following its reveal at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

The new software for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has been designed to streamline everyday tasks and become more intelligent and attuned to your individual needs.
Signing up for the beta software programme with your Apple ID will allow you to test the system ahead of its expected full release in September, and report any bugs or errors as you may find. The first Apple products to ship with it are predicted to be the next generation of iPhones at the same time, going off previous release cycles.

As the beta is not a finalised version of iOS 9, some functions and actions may not work as expected and are subject to change ahead of the final roll out. The beta will receive periodic updates throughout the testing period.

How to do it :

Sign up to try the free beta here. You'll be asked to provide your Apple ID and agree to a terms of service. From there, hit "enroll your iOS device" on the "Getting Started" section.

Back up your current iOS data and then hit "Download profile", where you'll be prompted to install beta software. You have to do this part on an iOS device.

Once you've done that, go to Settings > General > Software Update to try it.

The new public beta for Mac OS X El Capitan is also now available to download and test for free.

iOS 9 will see the introduction of new app News, which will replace Newsstand. News draws from respected news sources and publications to collate stories relevant to you, and will become increasingly refined the more you use it.

Other updates include photo, map and url-adding functionality to Notes, a new transit feature for Apple Maps and the transformation of Passbook into Wallet, where UK customers will be able to store credit and debit cards for use with Apple Pay.

Through iOS 9 the iPad takes on a new lease of life as a practical business-focussed tablet, with the introduction of simultaneous app-running feature Split View and Slide Over, which allows you to quickly dip into a second app, such as Twitter or your texts, without closing the window you’re currently working in.

When iOS 9 is available as a full download, it will require significantly less space than previous updates. iOS 9 will require 1.3GB of space, compared to iOS 8's whopping 4.58GB, and Apple has introduced a clever method of temporarily deleting apps in order to make room for the update to ensure as many customers are running the latest version of the software as possible.

Around 84 per cent of iOS devices are currently running iOS 8, while 14 per cent are using iOS 7. Only 2 per cent are continuing to run iOS 6 or previous iterations, according to Apple.

iOS 9 will be compatible with the iPhone 4s upwards, the iPad 2 upwards, both iPad Airs, all three iPad minis and the 5th generation iPod touch.

Hints and tips for downloading :
  • Ideally install iOS 9 on a secondary device. As it's not a full release, it might not have all the features you need.
  • Backup your device before installing.
  • Report any issues or bugs you find.
  • Be aware the beta will receive periodic updates during the time you use it.

News Apple iOS Update : Top iOS News Of The Week: Popular Apple Watch, Low Memory Installs, iOS 9 Beta 2

This week in iOS had news of iOS 9 installs to be better with low memory, a patent was granted for iPhones to work better with hearing aids, and claims that Apple Watch is more popular than the original iPhone.
Apple gets innovative with installing iOS 9 on low memory devices

When iOS 8 was released those with 16GB iPhones and iPads were upset as they didn't have enough free memory to install the big update. Those who wanted the update had to delete big apps and files, install iOS 8, then restore the files.

Apple has made owners of such devices happy with the announcement that iOS 9 will do that for them. The installation process will remove apps if memory is needed, and then automatically reload them after the update to iOS 9.

Apple granted patent for better iPhone use with hearing aids
The iPhone has long had good accessibility features, and that could get even better for hearing aid users in the future. Apple was granted a patent that allows a moble device, think iPhone, that can use hardware sensors to detect proximity to a hearing aid and then adjust the phone volume automatically.

Say a hearing aid wearer gets a call. Picking up the iPhone and moving it toward the ear would raise the volume during the call, and then lower it back down when the phone is moved away from the ear.

Apple Watch more popular than original iPhone

Researchers have determined that demand for the Apple Watch is greater than that of the original iPhone a few weeks after launch. While this could indicate a stronger reception, odds are the lack of apps after the original iPhone launch has something to do with it.

News Apple Product Update : Apple Now Lets Users Download iOS Beta Software Updates, Starting With iOS 8.3

Apple AAPL +1.78% is now inviting users to test iOS software updates before public releases, starting with the third beta of iOS 8.3. To download iOS 8.3, you will have to register your account as a software tester at the Apple Seed website. Not everyone will see the iOS beta program now because it seems to be rolling out to the users that were part of the ”OS X Beta Program” first.

If you have been invited to the iOS beta program, you will be asked to back up your iPhone to iTunes and log in with your Apple ID. After that, you will have to opt in for the iOS beta program and download a configuration profile. iOS 8.3 beta will appear as a software update in the Settings app after downloading the configuration profile.
The public release date of iOS 8.3 is unknown, but it may be a while because Apple released iOS 8.2 three days ago. If you encounter any issues while using iOS 8.3 beta, then you will be able to restore your device using a saved iTunes backup and you should file a report in the Feedback Assistant app.

Apple launched the “OS X Beta Program” about a year ago, but now it is known as the “Apple AAPL +1.78% Beta Software Program” since iOS has been added. “The feedback we have received on the OS X Yosemite Beta continues to help us shape OS X, and now the iOS 8.3 Beta is available for download,” states Apple’s Beta Software Program website.

When the public version of iOS 8.3 is released, it will have performance improvements, bug fixes, racially diverse emoji, Google's GOOGL +1% 2-step verification, Apple Pay integration for China UnionPay, support for the CarPlay platform and new languages for Siri. The languages that Siri will support in iOS 8.3 are English (India, New Zealand), Danish (Denmark), Dutch (Netherlands), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian (Russia), Swedish (Sweden), Thai (Thailand) and Turkish (Turkey). The Messages app in iOS 8.3 will have a feature called “Conversation List Filtering.” Through this feature, you will be able to filter spam messages and separate messages from your actual contacts. iOS 8.3 also includes the Apple Watch app that was introduced in iOS 8.2.

Apple’s addition of iOS to the Beta Software program does not come as a surprise. Last month, sources with Apple news website 9to5Mac revealed that iOS 8.3 will be added to the Beta Software program in March followed by iOS 9 this summer.

By offering beta versions of iOS to non-developer testers, Apple will be able to fix more bugs before shipping the final versions. It will also curb a ”gray market” issue where people sign up for developer accounts and sell early access, according to TechCrunch. The cost of an Apple iOS developer account is $99 per year.

Do you have access to the iOS Beta Software Program? Please let us know what you think about Apple giving access to betas of iOS to the public in the comments section below!

News Apple iOS Release Update : Apple Will Fight iOS Bugs With First-Ever iOS Public Betas: 8.3 In March, 9 In Summer

In an effort to eliminate bugs from upcoming iOS versions ahead of their general releases, Apple plans to launch the first-ever public beta program for the iOS operating system, according to multiple people briefed on the plans. Following the successful launch of the OS X Public Beta program with OS X Yosemite last year, Apple intends to release the upcoming iOS 8.3 as a public beta via the company’s existing AppleSeed program in mid-March, according to the sources. This release will match the third iOS 8.3 beta for developers, which is planned for release the same week. Apple then expects to debut iOS 9 at its June Worldwide Developer Conference, with a public beta release during the summer, and final release in the fall…
Ahead of the October 2014 launch of OS X Yosemite, Apple released the new Mac OS as a beta to the first one million people who registered with interest. Apple has said that it will soon provide these users with early looks at OS X updates such as the upcoming 10.10.3 with the new iCloud-based Photos application. In order to maintain a higher level of exclusivity, the public beta program for iOS will apparently be limited to 100,000 people, the sources say. Apple began seeding a select group of retail employees with iOS betas for minor releases in January. In the hands of developers since last year, iOS 8.2 will not enter public beta.

Codenamed Stowe, iOS 8.3 was first seeded to developers in early February with several enhancements. The updated software includes support for Wireless CarPlay, an upgraded Emoji keyboard, an enhanced voice for Siri, and simpler login for Google services. A second 8.3 beta is expected next week. iOS 9, codenamed Monarch, will include fixes and performance enhancements as headline features. Apple is also working on iOS 8.4, codenamed Copper, that bundles Apple’s all new streaming music service. Like the early iOS 8 developers builds, the public betas will include a dedicated app that allows users to report bugs to Apple.

The main goal of the iOS beta program will be a more reliable and widely tested operating system by the time of the wider consumer launch, as Apple has come under fire for lack of quality control in iOS 8. Launching public beta versions of iOS will also reduce the demand for unauthorized sales of beta downloads from developer accounts, which enabled some consumers to test-drive future iOS features. Apple Vice President of iPhone and iOS Marketing Greg Joswiak publicly shared his concern regarding these blackmarket businesses, saying that Apple planned to fight those in the future.

News Apple iOS Update : Apple To Release iOS Public Betas To Help Squash Bugs

After its successful public beta program for OS X Yosemite, Apple is said to expand the program that would mean forthcoming versions of its mobile operating system, beginning with iOS 9, would be subject to the same assessment.
iOS public beta available from March

The iOS public beta release highlights just how open Apple is becoming, slow coming out of the darkness in terms of its software projects. In the era of Steve Job, Apple was famous for applying just as much secrecy to software that it did to hardware, with the exception of the Mac OS X public beta back in 2000.
That all changed with the public beta of OS X Yosemite, and it’s said that iOS 9 will be receiving the same treatment, according to 9to5Mac. Apple has already allowed a million members of the public to sign up to test OS X Yosemite, and that might be the same approach that it takes with iOS 9. Of course, anyone that signs up to Apple’s developer programs can road test the betas, but that’s not a free program and requires a yearly membership.

iOS Public BetaApple might also be rolling out the program for iOS 8.3, of which previews have already been released to developers. The update is said to be heading to the AppleSeed program, where Apple customers are selected to test beta software based on the needs of Apple’s engineering teams.

iOS 9 won’t be released in any form until Apple’s regular Worldwide Developers Conference in June, but development is already said to be well under way. It’s also been claimed that Apple is focusing more on under the hood improvements and performance optimisation rather than new features this time around.

Apple has faced a lot of criticism over the amount of bugs that have crept into its mobile operating system in recent months, so the public beta program would be an effective way to test its prerelease software before it’s officially released.

Apple Releases iOS 6.1 Beta To Developers

Apple recently released its latest operating system for iOS devices, iOS 6.0.1. At the same time, it also released a beta version of iOS 6.1 to developers, titled Build 10B5095f.

According to a report by Apple Insider, iOS 6.1 beta is available for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and iPhone 3GS; iPads of the second, third, and fourth generations; and iPod touch devices of the fifth and fourth generations. Apple Insider states that the beta versions of iOS 6.1, compatible with the iPad mini and the new fourth-generation iPad, are not offered on Apple's developer website.

The website reveals that the only major new addition to iOS 6.1 is said to be 'Map Kit Searches' as part of the 'Map Kit' framework. The feature now lets developers search for map-based addresses and points of interest.

Explaing this feature, Apple Insider states, “A new class labeled "MKLocalSearch" is also said to offer map-based content using a natural language string. This will allow users to enter place name information or portions of an address to return relevant information”. To quote an example, on searching for the keyword ‘coffee’, the results returned would be a list of coffee bars, along with information of each of them.

We would need to wait for some time before iOS 6.1 is officially available to the public as was the case last year. iOS 5.1 was released roughly four months after the release of iOS 5.

Apple recently rolled out iOS 6.0.1, and an over-the-air (OTA) updater tool for the iPhone 5. With the update to iOS 6.0.1, a bug that prevents the iPhone 5 from installing software updates wirelessly over the air has been fixed, so has a bug where horizontal lines may be displayed across the keyboard. An issue that caused the camera flash to not go off has been addressed. The new version of the operating system also improves the reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod Touch (5th generation) when connected to encrypted WPA2 Wi-Fi networks, resolves an issue that prevents the iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances, consolidates the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match, and fixes a Passcode Lock bug that sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen.

Once the updater tool for iPhone 5 is installed, and the OS is updated, the update app deletes itself. This solves the problem of with the device not being able to get an OTA update. Alternately, one can tether the handset to a computer and install the update.

The biggest announcement by Apple at its event held in September, apart from the iPhone 5, was iOS 6. The new version of the operating system comes packed with many features and became officially available for download on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Apple has dropped iOS 6 support for the first generation iPad. iOS 6 could be downloaded directly on to your device through an over the air update, or you could let iTunes do your work for you by letting it download the update and install it on your iOS device.

Dell's Project Stratus Device Management Console Goes Into Public Beta

Summary: Another result from Dell's purchase of Wyse Technologies earlier this year: the company can now offer a unified, cloud-based console to handle PCs, smartphones, tablets, thin clients and zero clients.

Dell has tossed its new Venture Stratus system control gaming system into what it calling 'public beta', making it available to Dell Wyse clients and associates for month-long test times.

The cloud-based gaming system is developed to keep a manage on the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) pattern. It allows IT staff safely manage a variety of gadgets, such as PCs, mobile phones, pills, slim clients and OS-free zero clients.

"Project Stratus was developed to offer this nimbleness in a simple, protected and cost-effective program — if IT needs to control end individual gadgets, they can; if all they care about is handling how business information and applications are provided regardless of system, it can manage that too."

Dell is throwing Venture Stratus as a easier and less expensive substitute to operating such control controllers on on-premises hosts.

The gaming system provides real-time statistics, and also provides signals about conformity offenses "with the choice to take contextual actions", Dell said. These activities could consist of caution the individual or preventing them, for example.
