News Samsung Update : Almost Every Single Detail About Samsung's Next Giant Galaxy Phones Has Reportedly Leaked

Samsung is rumored to be announcing two new phones later this week, but we may already have a clear idea of what to expect thanks to a new leak.

A Reddit user that goes by the alias "joelrtaveras" said a Samsung representative stopped by the retail location he or she works at with both phones. The user posted a rundown of initial impressions on the Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, revealing almost every single detail about both phones. A bunch of photos of the Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ also appeared on Imgur, and several reports seem to indicate that they were published by the same person behind the Reddit post.

Here's a photo that reportedly shows what looks like the rumored Galaxy Note 5 alongside the iPhone 6 Plus.

And here's the back of the phone.

You can see the edges are made of metal, and the author writes that the S Pen is "spring loaded" so it sits flush with the bezel of the phone.

And now here's the reported Galaxy S6 Edge+ alongside the iPhone 6 Plus.

Here's a side view of the Galaxy Note 5 (left) and Galaxy S6 Edge+ (right). You'll notice the phone on the right is slightly curved just like the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Several details about Samsung's new phones have leaked over the past several months, but these new photos provide the clearest depiction we've seen so far. It's the first set of images that compares both phones to the iPhone, which provides a size comparison.
Here are some of the key takeaways from the Reddit post:
  • The Note 5 has a tapered back, and it's slightly thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus.
  • The Note 5 won't have an SD card slot and the base model has 32GB of storage.
  • The S Pen for the Note 5 has a "push to pop" mechanism for getting the pen out of its holster.
  • The Super AMOLED screen "looked great," but especially so on the S6 Edge+'s curved screen.
  • The S6 Edge+ comes with a feature called Apps Edge, which allows you to swipe from the right to view app shortcuts. This sounds like the feature Samsung debuted with the Galaxy Note Edge last year.
It's also important to note that both phones were running software that wasn't finalized, so there might be some changes on the final version. We're expecting Samsung to announce both phones at its Unpacked event on Thursday.

News LG Handset Released Update : LG G4 And G4 Stylus Prices Slashed In India

The LG G4 is now made available at Rs 45,000 (for the Leather back variant) and Rs 40,000 (for the Ceramic white variant), the LG G4 Stylus will be priced at Rs 21,000. Launch prices for the LG G4 and G4 Stylus in India were Rs 51,000 and Rs 24,990 respectively.

With this move, LG aims to offer consumers a chance to buy its products at festive prices. More so, this looks likes a competitive strategy to take on some of the similar offerings but other smartphone companies.
Mr. Amit Gujral, Marketing Head, LG Mobiles, India said, “This festive season we wanted to give consumers something to cheer about. The G4 and G4 Stylus are our best offerings in India this year and we have received a phenomenal response to these smartphones till now. With a further revision in prices, we are extending the availability to more and more people to enjoy the superior immersive & innovative experience these phones offer.”

The G4 sports a 5.5-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels of resolution, same as its predecessor. The device boasts of Slim Arc design, which means it has a slight curve, but not as much as the G Flex. This subtle curve will ensure the display is less likely to break upon fall. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will be available with 32GB onboard storage, expandable via microSD card slot up to 128GB.

On the camera front, the G4 comes with a new 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 lens and improved image stabilisation. It gets a new ‘color spectrum sensor’ with more accurate color and white balance. For selfie lovers, it comes with an 8MP front camera. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop along with a layer of LG’s custom interface. It uses something that LG calls ‘human-centric UX’ 4.0, promising a more intuitive experience. A 3,000mAh removable battery completes the package.
On the other hand, the LG G4 Stylus, sports a 5.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. Needless to say, it accommodates a rubberdium stylus for taking notes. The G4 Stylus runs Android Lollipop and gets its UI from the 2015 flagship G4 that features UX 4.0.

The 4G LTE variant comes powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB RAM. It gets a 13-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The 8GB onboard storage is expandable via microSD card. Finally, a 3000mAh removable battery completes the package.

News OnePlus Two Update : OnePlus 2 First Impressions - Brings In Some Design Finesse And An Improved Camera

OnePlus 2 was launched amidst much fan fare considering it was the first virtual reality launch of a smartphone ever. The phone packs in some impressive specifications and also has prices starting from Rs 22,999 for the 16GB version. The OnePlus 2 will launch in India on August 11. So before we start talking about performance numbers, here is a quick first impressions about the latest flagship phone from OnePlus which it has already touted as ‘2016 Flagship Killer’.

Build Quality and Design :
The OnePlus 2 has redesigned the edges to some extent but the rear side makes you feel at home. The sandstone black cover, which is now easily removable, has that familiar coarse feeling. The phone has a slightly curved design on the back which helps with the grip. The edges have got a metallic treatment with champfering on the edges to give it that classy look.
IMG_20150805_161012042
On the right hand side towards the top portion, you have the power/standby and volume rocker buttons. The top edge has the 3.5mm audio jack and at the base you have the USB Type-C port in the centre surrounded by two speaker grilles – which is new. On the left hand side you have notifications notch called the Alert slider, which has a nice feedback to it. It lets you control notifications by sliding it from bottom to top.
IMG_20150805_160842202
The OnePlus 2 comes with a 5.5-inch display and at the base of it you have a fingerprint scanner. It is not a button per se, but it has a clear rounded rectangular marking. This is surrounded by two soft keys which light up when the phone is on. On the rear side, the camera is placed bang in middle with a dual LED flash unit on top and the laser autofocus system below the 13MP rear camera.

Display:
IMG_20150805_161330694
OnePlus has stuck with the 5.5-inch full HD display for the OnePlus 2 instead of going for the QuadHD display. OnePlus makes use of an IPS panel and the display looks as good as the OnePlus One. The display looked sufficiently bright although glossy. We will need to watch movies on it to check for any backlight bleeding and use it in sunlight to test its legibility in bright outdoor situations.

Chipset, RAM, Storage :
The OnePlus 2 comes with impressive internal specifications. It is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 810 SoC which has a quad-core Cortex A57 and a quad-core Cortex A53 and has the Adreno 430 GPU. This is paired with 4GB of RAM for the 64GB storage variant. The 16GB storage variant OnePlus 2 will come with 3GB of RAM. These are topline specifications, and naturally when using the review unit over a day, we did not notice any lag or slow down. Of course, we will be doing the complete real world testing of the phone.

OS, Connectivity :
Unlike the OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2 has no Cyanogen branding on its rear side. This is because, the phone comes with Android 5.1 with OnePlus’s own OxygenOS skin atop it. The OxygenOS skin looks quite similar to stock Android Lollipop design and has a few refinements, such as the frequently used apps and contact list on the left most swipe.
IMG_20150805_161250638
The OnePlus 2 supports a dual 4G nano SIM card slot which is accessible on removing the rear cover. Thanks to the slots located under the cover, you do not need a pin to remove the SIM card slots, you can just slide them using your nails. Apart from this, the phone supports Wi-fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and so on. One omission on the connectivity front is NFC, which could have been easily paired with the fingerprint sensor to verify NFC payments. Although this is a niche market segment in India and not really relevant, globally that is not the case.

With the USB Type C connection, the OnePlus 2 will be the first phone to be selling with that connector in India.

Camera :
IMG_20150805_160754139
OnePlus 2 has really spruced up the camera department. You now get a 13MP rear camera with a pixel size of 1.3 microns. Also the camera will come with an optical image stabiliser to help you take stutter free images and videos. We will need to see if this is as impressive as the one we had seen on the LG G4. Another impressive feature on the rear camera is the laser auto-focus mechanism. This should help improve the focus acquisition speed. However, the real test of the rear camera will lie with low light photography, which is was really not impressive at all on the OnePlus One. On the front you have a 5MP camera for your selfies. The camera user interface is quite different from the one seen on OnePlus One as well.

Battery:
The OnePlus 2 comes with 3,300mAh Li-polymer non-removable battery which is a bump up from the 3,100mAh battery that was seen on the OnePlus One. Ideally, one should be able to pull of a days worth of usage on regular use, but we will need to confirm that only after reviewing the phone. Also the OnePlus 2 does not come with the Qualcomm QuickCharge feature.

Conclusion:
The OnePlus 2 has certainly got off to a good start, after Carl Pei announced the price of Rs 24,999 for the 64GB storage variant of the phone. Considering the price of Rs 31,000 was doing the rounds of online forums before the launch date, this is a welcome change. However, we will have to see how OnePlus has tackled the apparent heating issues associated with the Snapdragon 810 SoC. There are lot of new things to try out on the OnePlus 2 such as the finger print scanner, interchangeable back and home softkeys, the improved camera and so on. You will have to check back for the full review of the OnePlus 2 which we have already started working on.

News Android L Update : Lollipop Android 5.1.1 Hit Several Sony Xperia Devices Z2 And Z3

Lollipop Sony confirms that Android 5.1.1 Xperia phones will reach the end of July.  Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is assured for devices Xperia Z2 and Z3 Xperia seriesSony Xperia, but still we need to find out the final date launch. As we have heard before, the new firmware for Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was recently certified in the PTCRB, so we can assume that a main update will come for these two phones, the Xperia Z2 and Z3 Sony Xperia , throughout this week. Sony wanted to confirm our suspicions and stated that both devices Xperia receive Android 5.1.1 Lollipop late July.
This information comes from the hand of XperiaBlog , which claim that Sony Japan has also revealed some changes included in the update to Android 4.4.4 Android 5.1.1 KitKat Lollipop. However, if you are owners of Xperia Android 5.0. 2 Lollipop , those changes will not be implemented in this update to Android 5.1.1 since they were already present on your device.

Two confirmed changes :

So far, only two developments have confirmed the previously rumored and will form part of the upgrade. It is a wider range of options for the Wi-Fi connection and Bluetooth in the menu of notifications and new icons that appear in the menu settings.

Obviously, these are not the only changes that will appear with the update; we also expect bug fixes, new animations and latest technology enhancements to be included in our devices for increased performance.

Sony is one of the leading manufacturers of smartphones, devices that bring Android to the most popular and you’re doing get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop almost all terminals. It is not the only company: HTC, Motorola and Samsung have done the same with their latest models; but manufacturers still need to follow these steps.

News Android L Update : Android L 5.1.1 Update For Sony Xperia Z2, Z3 Devices Arriving Soon

Owners of devices from Xperia's Z2 and Z3 lines of handsets can expect to receive the latest version of the Android Lollipop soon.

According to various sources, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z2 and Z3 series has just been certified, the Xperia Blog reported.

The certification for the update was granted by PTCRB, an organization that authorizes telecommunication bands used by devices in North America.

However, this does not automatically mean that the update will be seeded to devices right away. Sony will still have to conduct various tests on the update before it is rolled out to the public.
The devices that will receive the update include the Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 Dual, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. As for their series model numbers, these are the Xperia Z2 D6502, Xperia D6503, Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP521.

For the Z3 series, these include the Xperia Z3 D6653, Z3 Dual D6633, Z3 Compact D5803 and D5B33 and the Z3 Tablet Compact SGP621 and SGP641.

Android Geeks noted that the update can only be installed for devices running on stock software. Those with modified firmware will not be able to get the latest Android Lollipop update.

As for its features, the update comes with various improvements and enhancements designed to improve the overall performance of the devices. Through the update, bug and glitches that causes apps to crash and freeze will be eliminated. It will also fix the issue that causes the devices to restart randomly, according to Android Standard.

In addition, the update will also improve the battery life of devices as well as prevent overheating.

However, it is not yet confirmed if the latest OS upgrade will be able to fix the memory leak issue. According to reports, this problem involves increased RAM usage even though users are not running apps on their devices.

The additional features of the update, on the other hand, include improved notifications setting, multi-user support and better security system.

Although Sony has not yet announced when the update will be exactly rolled out for the Z2 and Z3 series, users can expect to receive it within the next few weeks.

Once the update goes live, users will receive notifications regarding its availability. However, the roll out will most probably conducted in stages to ensure that the update is free of bugs and other potential problems. This means not everyone will be able to get it at the same time once it is officially released.

News SmartPhone Release Update : ARCHOS Unveils The 50d Helium Smartphone – Android 5.1, 13MP Camera, $129

If you aren’t familiar with French smartphone and tablet manufacturer ARCHOS, perhaps now is a good time to do so. Over the past few years the company has aimed to produce high-quality software and hardware for a low price point, and it looks like its new offering does just that. ARCHOS has just unveiled the budget-friendly 50d Helium smartphone that may actually give other low cost smartphones a run for their money.

The 50d Helium offers up a 5.0-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution, a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage and microSD expansion. It also features a dual SIM card slot, 4G LTE connectivity, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facer and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The non-removable 2100mAh battery is perhaps the worst specification this device brings to the table, but I’m pretty sure the price point will make up for it as far as many users are concerned.
The ARCHOS 50d Helium ships with two soft, “stone finished” interchangeable backplates in Storm Blue and Stone Grey color options, and will be available this July for just $129. ARCHOS didn’t reveal a specific release date for the device, so we’ll let you know when it becomes available.

So what do you think, is the 50d Helium worth $129? Or is that too much to ask? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments.

A couple of Android Lollipop builds such as 23.4.A.0.279 and 23.4.A.0.248 have been caught in Handtec Detection site, hinting the build template for Android Lollipop release for Xperia Z3 or, Z2 series would be 23.4.A.0.XXX.

If you happen to be the fortuitous owner of a Nexus phone or tablet, check out the Google Developer page that hosts all of the available Android images for various Nexus devices.  If an update isn't available for your device as yet, bookmark the page and continue to check back.

Note that these images need to be flashed manually, so if you’re unsure about venturing into the world of updating your device ROM, you may want to team up with a more knowledgeable mate, or read the instructions (at the top of the Google Developer page) very, very carefully before proceeding. Apart from the regular rake of stability and performance improvements, Lollipop 5.1 brings special support for multiple SIM cards, enhanced device protection and HD voice compatibility.

That said, if you thrive being on the bleeding edge of device updates, try out the new Lollipop 5.1. And do share your experience with us.

News Samsung Update : Samsung Buoyed By 'Huge' Galaxy S6 Preorders

Summary:Samsung, which saw profits tumble by 60 percent last year, is seeing an uptick in its fortunes thanks to stronger than anticipated Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge preorders.

Samsung, which saw profits tumble by 60 percent last year, is seeing an uptick in its fortunes thanks to stronger than anticipated Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge preorders.

"To be honest, pre-orders of the two Galaxy variants from our major clients are really huge," Samsung's Chief of Mobile, Shin Jong-Kyun, told reporters at MWC last week. And now analysts are pitching in with string estimates.

Henry H Kim, analyst for Citibank, has revised his estimate for Galaxy S6 shipments this year. He is now expecting Samsung to ship 46 million Galaxy S6 handsets this year, up from his previous estimate of 38 million.

Kim also believes that interest in the S6 will also pull in sales for lower-priced handsets. On top of that, he sees the S6 as being good for the supply chain as a whole.

"Success of GS6 will have positive chain impacts on the mid- to low-end market leadership and in-house component businesses (overall DRAM/NAND memory with content growth, mobile AP LSI and AMOLED display panel)."

Despite this, Kin still believes that Samsung will report a 1 percent quarterly decline in operating profits for the first quarter due to "overall slow seasonality" over the Chinese New Year, but that the second quarter will be much more fruitful, with the company expected to post a 39 percent increase in quarterly profit.

According to an unnamed executive, preorders for the Galaxy S6 stand at around 20 million, with the higher-priced (and presumably, higher-margin) Galaxy S6 Edge making up 5 million of that.

News Moto Handset Update : Motorola Moto E 4G Version Could Launch In India By May

US-based Motorola is hopeful of introducing the 4G version of Moto E smartphone in India by May this year, pricing it under Rs. 10,000 as it looks to compete with brands such as Yu and Xiaomi.

The company had announced the global launch of 3G and 4G versions of the new Moto E in more than 50 countries in Asia, North America, Europe and Latin America.

The unlocked 4G-enabled handset is available for $149.99 (INR 9,400) in the U.S. while the 3G version is priced at $119.99 (INR 7,500).
The 4G version of the handset would compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G (INR 9,999), Yu's Yureka (INR 8,999) and Lenovo's A6000 (INR 6,999).

With increasing usage of data services and telecom firms preparing to offer 4G services, handset makers are also lining up devices at affordable price points to tap the opportunity.

On Tuesday, Motorola launched the second generation of Moto E that includes Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and advanced graphics. Priced at INR 6,999, the new Moto E will be available exclusively on e-commerce marketplace Flipkart from tomorrow.

Running on Android's latest Lollipop operating system, the 3G handset features a 4.5-inch screen and 5-megapixel rear camera. The phone has a 2,390 mAh battery.

Users will explore Moto experiences such as Moto Display for updates, notifications and Moto Migrate to easily transfer photos, videos and contacts with the new Moto E.

News Handset Launch Update : At Rs 6,999, Motorola Moto E Second Has Android 5.0.2 Lollipop

The 3G version of Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) has officially arrived in India. The new Moto E smartphone will be available from March 12 on Flipkart only at a introductory price of Rs 6,999. Commenting on the availability of the 4G version, Amit Boni, general manager, Motorola India said, “The 4G version will not take much time and we will launch it soon in India. The device will be similar, except for the processor and will be very competitively priced.”
Meanwhile, Motorola will also continue with its earlier Moto E smartphone which will now sell at Rs 5,999 on Flipkart.

The new Moto E smartphone sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, it runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB. It is powered by a bigger 2,390 mAh battery.
On the camera front, the new Moto E now offers a VGA front camera for selfies along with 5MP rear camera which is now powered with Auto Focus and has similar features of that of the Moto G (2nd gen). However, there is no Flash. Citing the reason, Boni said, “We did a lot of market research and found out that at this budget price point, users are comfortable in trading off Flash for a selfie camera and Motorola’s Quick Capture feature.”

As Motorola is now a Lenovo company, smartphone enthusiasts in India complained that the new Moto E smartphone is underpowered ( in terms of specs) when compared to Lenovo’s bugdet 4G smartphone- A6000, which is also priced at Rs 6,999 on Flipkart. However, Boni denied this.
“The specification sheet really doesn’t matter. It is the overall experience which counts. The question of ‘underpowering’ the Moto E (2nd gen) doesn’t arise as both brands are completely seperate from each other. Also, the new Moto E offers the latest Android operating system in its purest form (no bloatwares) along with good software features from Motorola. We take user experience very seriously and have strictly avoided bloatwares worth millions of dollars and offer good after sales support,” said Boni.

News Android OS Update : Android 5.1 Is Coming; Here Are The Newest Features

The latest version of Android Lollipop , announced Monday, will address issues with version 5.0 of the OS, while adding a handful of new features that help improve the user experience, according to the Official Android blog.

For starters, Quick Settings will now allow you to connect to a Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth device without opening another menu. If you own a phone that offers multiple SIM card ports, you'll be able to switch between them without physically swapping SIM cards. And to make communicating even easier, High Definition voice calling will be available between Android 5.1 devices.
Google has also beefed up security for lost or stolen devices. Despite a factory reset, the device will still require a sign-in with the original Google account. This feature will be available on the Nexus 6 and 9 to start, but will be included on other devices shipped with Android 5.1.

So when will you see the Android 5.1 Lollipop update? According to some documents spotted on T-Mobile's site by Android Police, the Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 (2013) may see updates today. Stay tuned for more updates on which phones will receive the enhanced features. Check out Lance Whitney's post here for a full list of changes in Android 5.1.

News Android Update : Android 5.1 Lollipop Update Rollout Begins; Brings Device Protection And More

Google late on Monday finally announced the Android 5.1 Lollipop update, the first major update to Android Lollipop. The company in its blog announced that Android 5.1 brings stability and performance improvements.

Google also introduced some new features such as support for multiple SIM cards, Device Protection and HD voice on compatible devices with the update. The multiple SIM support seems to be primarily targeted at Android One devices. Google last month released Android One smartphones in Indonesia running Android Lollipop build 5.1 out-of-the-box.

Another highlight is built-in Device Protection, which makes sure the device is locked when lost or stolen, until signed-in using a Google account. Interestingly, Device Protection once enabled requires a Google account sign-in even if someone resets the device to factory settings.
"This feature will be available on most Android phones and tablets shipped with Android 5.1 in addition to Motorola Google Nexus 6 and HTC Google Nexus 9," notes Dave Burke, VP, Android Platform.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop update also brings high definition voice calling on the mobile phone. The HD voice calling will be available only on compatible Android 5.1 devices. Google gives example of HD voice on the Nexus 6 via T-Mobile or Verizon. Other features include ability to join Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth paired device option directly available from Quick Settings.

Soon after announcing the Android 5.1 update, Google started pushing Android 5.1 factory images for Nexus devices. At the time of writing, the company posted factory images for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2012, and Nexus 10. We can expect the company to release factory images of more Nexus devices in the coming days.

Google, apart from factory images, also started uploading source code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). First reported by Android Police, currently Google only posted the source code of Nexus 5, Nexus 6, and Nexus 9. Both Motorola and Flipkart slashed the price of the Moto E recently,  leading to speculation that a new variant was on its way, and as expected, here it is! The company has quietly launched the all-new and highly anticipated Moto E second gen device.
Given that the phone is aimed at developing nations, we expect the device to reach the Indian shores soon. So what’s new about the phone? The successor to the Moto E has improved some key specifications and also adds support for 4G LTE. We list some of these in detail:

Design:

Motorola’s new Moto E is slightly larger than its predecessor, measuring 129.9 x 66.8 x 12.3 mm. However, it retains the same thickness and also adds a light curve to the design. In terms of portability, it seems to be slightly heavier at 145 grams. The previous Moto E weighed 142 grams. But lets face it, a mere 38 grams  is unlikely to make much of a difference to a user.
Design-wise, Motorola has added some subtle changes and tried to employ the same aesthetics that are already seen in the higher-end Moto G and Moto X devices. If you remember, the Moto E comes with two metal bars – above and below  the display. Motorola has now bid goodbye to the one below the display.

Motorola also gets more colourful with the new Moto E. It has introduced some new covers that it calls ‘Bands’. These bands are available in six colour options including Golden Yellow, Turquoise, Blue, Raspberry, Purple and Red. The new model also gets five “Grip shells” available in Golden Yellow, Charcoal, Turquoise, Blue, Raspberry.

Display :

The Moto E second generation also comes with a slight change in the display. It has been increased from 4.3-inch to 4.5-inch, making it more similar in size to the Moto G. However, Motorola disappoints with the resolution, which doesn’t seem to have changed. It still retains the same qHD display at 540 x 960 pixels. This means effectively, that the Moto E 2014 model will come with a better display as more pixels are pushed onto a smaller display size. The pixel density of the older Moto E is 265 ppi compared to the 245ppi seen in the 2015 model. However, to the human eye, this shouldn’t make much of a difference either.
OS :

While Motorola is still conducting an Android Lollipop soak test for the Moto E 2014 model, its successor now runs Android Lollipop. This means, you can expect the latest OS goodies from Google on the budget handset. Motorola has also reportedly added features like Moto Display for notifications and updates.

Camera :

One of the biggest drawbacks of the original Moto E was the lack of a front-facing camera, especially considering the popularity of ‘taking selfies’. With the new Moto E, Motorola has fixed the issue. You still get a mediocre VGA camera, but we suppose that this is still better than having none. The company has also retained the 5MP rear snapper, but it has been improved from a ‘fixed focus’ to ‘auto-focus’.

The company has also played with some gestures for the camera. If you twist your wrist twice, the new Moto E will quickly launch the camera. This is something new and was not seen in the previous version of the Moto E.
Storage :

Another sore point for users of the Moto E was the limited storage. Motorola has now doubled the storage capacity to 8GB in the new model. Moreover, one can also opt for the 16GB model. It can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Processor :

The model comes with a quad-core processor, which is a step up from the dual-core seen in the original Moto E. The Moto E second gen comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. This is an improvement from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU seen in the Moto E first gen.  It has retained the 1GB RAM. There is also a 3G version of the Moto E with 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 32-bit processor and a 400MHz Adreno 302 GPU.
Battery :

In terms of battery, the Moto E 2015 model is fuelled by 2390mAh capacity. This is a jump from the 1920mAh battery found on the Moto E (2014) model.
Price :

The Moto E will be launched in 50 countries starting with the US. The unlocked 3G version will cost $119.99 that translates to approx. Rs 7430. This means, we can expect it to cost slightly higher than the said price in India. The 4G LTE version will cost $149.99 (approx. Rs 9288). However, it isn’t clear if the 4G version will be made available in India.
