News Apple MacBook Pro Updae : MacBook Air 2016 Release Date, Specs & Price Update: Laptop Launching Earlier Than Expected? [Rumors]

Apple is reportedly taking a new marketing route with the MacBook Air 2016 i8s which has recently been rumored to be launched earlier than expected.

According to Geek Snack, the new MacBook Air, which was initially set to hit the market by March 2016 is being prepped for an early release this November.

With the surprisingly release of the Moto X Style, Moto X Play and Moto G, the outlet sees an early 2016 MacBook launch to be very plausible.

Apple and Motorola have been repeatedly pitted against each other as leading companies in the tech manufacturing industry.

Rumors suggest that the production of MacBook Air 2016 i8s has been ramped up to be released just in time for the Holidays this 2015.

Other rumors also imply some negative reviews of this plan, especially after considering that the MacBook Air 2015's recent release was not been graciously accepted by the public because of its repetitive features and lack of change for a relatively expensive device.

Christian Today sees the $100 introductory price tag for the upcoming 2016 MacBook Air as "the lowest-priced Apple laptop in history."

According to the outlet, the Cupertino-based company incorporated the Intel Core-M-based Skylake processor, the latest chipset Intel has to offer.

The new line of MacBook Air would also be made available in two sizes, a 13-inch and a 15-inch model which would both sport a lighter and thinner exterior than its predecessors.

It would also boast a retina display that offers users an enhanced viewing experience through a 178-degree viewing angle with its richer and more vibrant colors.

The upcoming line of laptops from the iPhone-maker is also expected to run on Microsoft's Windows 10 out of the box.

It would have 4GB random access memory as well as a 128GB and 256GB SSD storage while its premium model is seen to be running on 8GB RAM and 512GB storage space.

Geek Snack also predicts that the upcoming MacBooks from Apple would maintain its backlit keyboard but would replace the rigid buttons with ones that are easier to click and are textured to lessen mistypes.

It would also be thinner than all other Apple laptops - or any laptop at that - with about 11.5 mm thickness.

These are mere speculations and rumors. Apple has yet to confirm any detail as of the writing of this article.

News Apple MacBook Update : Two Mac Viruses Strike At The Heart Of The Platform's Secure Image

‘Thunderstrike 2’, a worm which moves from Macbook to Macbook using hardware, joins privilege escalation bug seen in the wild for the first time.

For years, Mac users have been safe in the knowledge that their platform was relatively safe from malware. A combination of the lower number of users on the platform, less attention from security researchers and, in general, fewer security holes in the operating system than Windows has led to a history generally free of damaging viruses and malware. So proud has Apple been of its security that it even ran several spots in its Mac vs PC ad campaign dedicated to the idea that Macs don’t get viruses.
But in quick succession, two new serious vulnerabilities in OS X have introduced Mac malware back into the conversation.

One exploits a weakness first confirmed in mid-July, which allows a malicious program that gains access to a Mac to run as though it is the administrator of the computer – a vulnerability known as “privilege escalation”. In doing so, it can bypass a lot of Apple’s security features, which rely on appropriately limiting the ability of downloaded code from affecting the deeper functions of the operating system.

Stefan Esser, the German coder who discovered the exploit, heavily criticised Apple for having already patched it in the beta versions of its next operating system, Mac OS X El Capitan. The company, which did not respond to a request for comment from the Guardian, still has not fixed the flaw in the latest current version of Mac OS, Yosemite, nor in the beta for the next Yosemite patch.

“At the moment it is unclear if Apple knows about this security problem or not, because while it is already fixed in the first betas of OS X 10.11, it is left unpatched in the current release of OS X 10.10.4 or in the current beta of OS X 10.10.5,” Esser wrote.

Later, he tweeted that “Apple was informed about said bug months ago and as usual did the irresponsible to fix it for some beta half a year in the future only.

“That means Apple released the bug via a patch … 4 months before they want to ship the ‘fix’,” he added.

Now, Esser’s bug has been seen in the wild for the first time. Researchers from Malwarebytes discovered a new adware installer doing the rounds, which allowed the adware to embed itself into the operating system, and – crucially – allowed the adware to install itself without requiring the user’s password.

Malwarebytes, which also criticises Esser for releasing the exploit without giving due notice to Apple, says: “This is obviously very bad news. Apple has evidently known about this issue for a while now … Unfortunately, Apple has not yet fixed this problem, and now it is beginning to bear fruit.”

At the same time, a very different exploit is about to be revealed to researchers at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas. It uses a bundle of weaknesses in the firmware of a computer, the embedded operating system which runs the lowest-level functions such as fans, power supply units, and USB ports, and lets the researchers overwrite that software with their own code, and five of these six weaknesses are present on Macs as well as PCs.

The researchers notified Apple, which has patched two of the vulnerabilities, but three remain unpatched.

Worse still, researchers managed to write a proof of concept attack which uses the weakness to create a “worm”: a virus which can spread from MacBook to MacBook directly. A deliberately infected email can infect the first MacBook, which then automatically attempts to infect any other hardware physically connected to it, such as Apple’s ethernet adapters. If that hardware is later plugged into an uninfected computer, the worm spreads further.

“People are unaware that these small cheap devices can actually infect their firmware,” researcher Xeno Kovah told Wired. “You could get a worm started all around the world that’s spreading very low and slow. If people don’t have awareness that attacks can be happening at this level then they’re going to have their guard down and an attack will be able to completely subvert their system.”

The worm, called “Thunderstrike 2”, bears a similarity to a previous proof-of-concept attack called BadUSB, which let attackers reprogram almost any USB device to attack hardware. But even that attack hadn’t been turned into a worm, limiting the potential damage.

News Apple MacBook Pro :Apple MacBook Air 2016 To Be Cheapest MacBook Ever With Price Tag Of $899

If you’ve always wanted to have that Apple logo on your laptop but you’re not ready to pay the price, then here is a chance of a lifetime. Apple is expected to launch MacBook Air, which according to rumors is the cheapest MacBook from the company.

According to reports from Master Herald, the new Apple MacBook Air will be priced at $899. It will be out in the market in 2016 and will be the cheapest from the brand ever.
The report from Venture Capital Post has cited some specifications of the 2016 version of MacBook air. According to the report, there will be marked improvements in terms of screen resolution. Intel Core M-based Skylake processor will be present in the new version.

The base model will have an internal memory of 128GB with 4GB RAM. The set-up model will come with 256GB hard drive while the top model will have Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD.

Selling the predator model at a lower or discounted price always gives indication that a new model is on its way. Apple is currently giving discount on MacBook Air 2015 version. The 128GB model is now available for $824.99 while the 11-inch, 256GB model is available for $1044.99. The price for the 13-inch models are $849 and $1139.

It is also stated that the MacBook Air 2016 will have a slim design. Higher-definition retina display can also be expected in the new model.

Apple may be releasing the MacBook Air at the same time as Surface Pro 4, which will also have the same Skylake processor. It will come with Windows 10 but when prices are compared, it will be far too expensive than the Apple product. Apple must have taken the challenge to compete with Surface pro 4 and grab the market the company had expected.

Surface Pro 4 will be available in 12-inch and 14-inch variants. It will sport 4GB RAM. The internal storage starts from 128GB which can go up to 1TB.

News Apple Laptop Update : Apple MacBook Air 2016 - 4 Reasons Why You Should Wait For The Cheapest MacBook Air Device

Apple MacBook Air 2016 is rumored to be released with a major design as well as software upgrade and will be the cheapest MacBook Air device to date. Here are four reason reasons why the upcoming Apple MacBook Air 2016 is worth the wait:
1. Price Factor: The MacBook Air 2016 is expected to be introduced at a price of just $899, which will make it the cheapest MacBook Air device till date. This is one of the main reasons that customers should wait for the release of this device as Apple seldom makes such a low introductory offer.

2. Slimmer and Lighter Design: MacBook Air 2016 is expected to sport a slimmer and lighter design based on the latest MacBook, which was released earlier this year. The new MacBook sported a screen size of 12 inches. It weighed just two pounds and is only 13.1 mm thick. MacBook Air 2016 is expected to be modeled on these lines, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

3. Retina Display and USB Type-C Port: It is also expected that the upcoming MacBook Air 2016 may have the Retina display as well as the latest USB Type-C connecting port, thus making it truly the device of the future, according to Hot Apple News

4. No Major Upgrades in the Past: On the other hand, the current version of MacBook Air did not receive much upgrade in either its design or its software specs. It was just tweaked to sport a better CPU performance and incorporate more memory, in comparison with its previous versions.

Hence, MacBook Air faces an increased build-up, making it one of the most anticipated devices of 2016.
