This week in iOS had news of iOS 9 installs to be better with low memory, a patent was granted for iPhones to work better with hearing aids, and claims that Apple Watch is more popular than the original iPhone.

Apple gets innovative with installing iOS 9 on low memory devices

When iOS 8 was released those with 16GB iPhones and iPads were upset as they didn't have enough free memory to install the big update. Those who wanted the update had to delete big apps and files, install iOS 8, then restore the files.

Apple has made owners of such devices happy with the announcement that iOS 9 will do that for them. The installation process will remove apps if memory is needed, and then automatically reload them after the update to iOS 9.

Apple granted patent for better iPhone use with hearing aids
The iPhone has long had good accessibility features, and that could get even better for hearing aid users in the future. Apple was granted a patent that allows a moble device, think iPhone, that can use hardware sensors to detect proximity to a hearing aid and then adjust the phone volume automatically.

Say a hearing aid wearer gets a call. Picking up the iPhone and moving it toward the ear would raise the volume during the call, and then lower it back down when the phone is moved away from the ear.

Developers testing the upcoming versions of Apple's OSes got the next version this week. Beta 2 of the three OSes -- iOS 9, OS X, and watchOS -- is now available for those intrepid testers.

Apple Watch more popular than original iPhone

Researchers have determined that demand for the Apple Watch is greater than that of the original iPhone a few weeks after launch. While this could indicate a stronger reception, odds are the lack of apps after the original iPhone launch has something to do with it.

News Apple Update : Apple: Fart Apps Not Allowed On Apple Watch

Well, color me disappointed. Turns out one of the first apps owners of the new $17,000 luxury Apple Watch Edition won't be downloading is one that plays fart sounds. Dang, thanks a lot Apple! Ok, seriously, someone was hoping to be behind the very first fart app for the Apple Watch, the brilliantly titled Fart Watch, but Apple has rejected their submission. The reason? Because it was nothing more than a fart app.

The idea behind Fart Watch was a minor step beyond the several hundred existing fart apps you can already find on the iOS App Store. The app turns your iPhone into a modern-day version of a whoopee cushion, meant to be put under your victim's seat. Except with this, the Apple Watch serves a wrist-worn button, allowing you to remotely trigger fart sounds to your heart's content.

But the real humorous part in all of this is how Apple is outright rejecting the app, as well as any other submissions with similar purposes, with a simple statement of "We do not accept fart apps on Apple Watch." Check out the full rejection notice the developer received from Apple below.

It is a little interesting that Apple is taking a hard stance on such apps even after they can be installed on the iPhone with ease, but then again the Apple Watch is an entirely new product for the company and they want it to be taken seriously, whether it's the luxury model or not. Maybe after the Watch has been on the market for some time they'll begin to relax on this kind of thing a bit. But let's be honest, do we even want them to?

News Gadgets Update : Moto Maker Goes Live, Lets You Customise The Moto 360 Smartwatch

Just a day after Apple launched its highly anticipated Watch, Motorola has unveiled the Moto Maker design studio that allows users to create custom versions of the Moto 360 smartwatch.

Moto Maker allows users to choose from different coloured watch cases, wristbands (leather and metal) and watch faces. Overall, it lets users choose from three case finishes, nine bands and 11 watch faces. However, these come at an extra charge ranging from $30 to $50, which would also mean paying higher than the $250 price tag that the Moto 360 carries.

The official Motorola blog states, “Choose from three case finishes: dark metal, light metal or champagne gold. Then pick one of nine bands, including leather, metal, and our new mono-link design, a modern take on the classic metal band style. Complete your design by choosing one of 11 watch faces. Once you get your watch, it’s easy to swap watch faces from our collection or through Google Play.”

The Motorola Moto 360 is available on Flipkart. It sports an circular backlit display with a diameter of 1.56 inches and comes with a 320 x 290 resolution that uses a pixel density of 205ppi. It also gets a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by the TI OMAP 3 processor coupled with 512MB RAM. It also gets 4GB internal memory for saving music and photos. For tracking activities, it is fitted with a pedometer and optical heart rate monitor (PPG). The IP67-certified Moto 360 is water-resistant and also supports wireless charging.
