Summary: The app, similar to those
available for iOS and the BlackBerry OS, lets users search online
without needing to fire up a browser. However, it will not work on
Windows RT-based systems such as the Surface tablet that will go on sale
this Friday.
The app, flagged up by Ms professional Mohamed Mansour in a Google+ publish on Wednesday, makes it possible for customers to look for through Google engine without requiring to flame up a web browser. It also provides a quick link to Google services such as Googlemail, Drive, YouTube, Audience, Charts and Schedule.
Google has also put speech control into the app — in Mansour's terms, Google Now is "baked in", providing Ms windows 8 gadgets some of the same performance as that on Android operating system 'Jelly Bean' 4.1 mobile phones and pills.
Mansour also mentioned in his post's thoughts line that "there is no difference between the Google incorporation in Ms windows 8 and the Google Search incorporation in Ms windows 8 [as] they are both Ms windows 8 applications and they are included into the Search Charm".
It is worth noting that Ms windows 8 does not, in this case, mean Ms windows RT. Ms windows RT is designed for ARM-based gadgets, and according to Information.com, the app will only run on x86-based snacks.
Windows 8's big release is on Saturday. The RT-based Ms Area will go on sale on the same day.
