AT&T Introduces Security Products For ‘Bring-Your-Own’ Devices

AT&T on Tuesday presented protection application and solutions designed to help businesses secure the mobile phones and pills that employees are providing into the office. The application will work for cellular phone gadgets on any cell system.

The program has a service known as AT&T Mobile Security, which allows workplaces to build anti-virus protection into their systems. It also has an app known as Toggle for employees in workplaces to do business-related actions, like e-mail or switching delicate records, inside an encoded and supervised environment; when they leave the app, they can continue using it for personal projects. There is also a cellular phone management device, in case an IT division needs to slightly clean data from an individual's smart phone, for example.

AT&T said the new protection package was necessary in light of the “bring your own device” pattern, where employees are using their own components in the office in contrast to components from a company IT team. The new tools will provide IT divisions the ability to help handle cellular phone gadgets but still give employees the independence and comfort to do what they want with their gadgets when they are not working, Ed Amoroso, AT&T’s primary protection official, said in an appointment.

AT&T dropped to talk about costs for the products, which differs based on the size of the company and the program of solutions bought.
