ANZ goMoney Goes Android

Summary: Bank releases its award-winning app for Google's Android OS, due to high demand from customers.

ANZ's goMoney was launched in Aug 2010 for The apple company iOS, enabling clients to exchange money between third-party records using cell mobile phone information alone.

According to ANZ, it was the first financial institution to launch an app on the iPhone foundation. In Aug, the lender prepared five thousand dealings from over 700,000 goMoney clients. ANZ said that its clients have already relocated more than $10 billion dollars through their cellular mobile phone devices so far, this year.

"There has been powerful need for an Android operating system edition of goMoney, and a lot of work has been done to make sure our Android operating system edition is just as protected and easy to use as our iPhone app," Glen Haslam, ANZ head of product, technique, and marketing, said in a declaration.

An ANZ representative informed ZDNet Sydney that this new launch is a local Android operating system app and that the lender has proved helpful hard to personalize the experience for Android operating system clients. The app currently provides 95 % of the functions available on the iOS-based goMoney.

Android goMoney clients cannot make nicknames for different records at this level, but that function will be included in the next app upgrade.

Australian financial institutions have lately been ramping up their initiatives in the cellular space.

In September, Earth Bank made its Kaching app available on Android operating system. The following 30 days, NAB launched its financial app for Windows Windows Phone OS.

Meanwhile, Westpac has started tests into NFC expenses through Android operating system mobile phones, particularly the New Samsung Galaxy S III. It is also working on a Windows Phone financial app.

ANZ goMoney for Android operating system can be downloadable from the Google Play shop.
