HP To Pursue Consumer Tablets After All With New Mobility Division

Summary: Undeterred by the failure of its TouchPad slate, the company hires an ex-Nokia executive to head the new unit.

Just as HP showed up to be staking its product technique entirely on enterprise-based Windows 8 designs, the technical massive has tossed us another spanner. According to an inner memo offered to The Brink, Hewlett-Packard has designed a new Flexibility department that's been billed with seeking customer pills and relevant gadgets.

The Flexibility device, creates HP executive Todd Bradley, will be advancing by Alberto Torres, who ran The lenders MeeGo function. Moreover to customer slates, Bradley says the department will be billed with looking at "additional sections and groups where we believe we can provide separated value to our clients." The Windows 8 pills team, as well as the laptops department, will not be combined into the new Flexibility device.

HP bombed with its last customer product, the TouchPad, which ran on the webOS foundation that the organization obtained from Hand. Curiously, HP just declared that it was rotating its webOS functions into a new organization -- and that both would take the G name.

HP has proven no attention in generating a Windows RT product -- which would put it in immediate competitors with Windows Area RT -- so what will its new customer pills run whenever they appear? Could it go circular two with webOS, though now as the not-yet-soiled G managing system? (Though this indicates HP isn't enthusiastic about assisting the free webOS on its current gadgets.) Would it try to hop on the Android managing program train, which would have it competitive against companies Search engines, New samsung, and Amazon?

Does the choosing of Torres mean that the organization will have the MeeGo OS, which hasn't discovered much achievements up to now, energy a customer slate? Or will HP toss another spanner and actually end up a Windows RT product after all? What do you think HP should do to create a rush in the individual product industry (if that's possible)?
