HCL Infosystems has released a new 3G-enabled product known as HCL ME Y2. It carries a 7-inch multi-touch capacitive screen with a 1024x600 display. The product offers 3G connection with an in-built SIM port. It is priced at Rs. 14,999. The Y2 operates on Android operating system v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It functions a 2MP back digital camera and a 0.3MP front side digital camera for interactive movie.
The ME Y2 product sports a 1GHz Cortex A9 brand associated by 1GB RAM and 8GB storage space. HCL has a storage port that increases the storage to up to 32GB. On the connection front side, the device packages in mini-USB and mini-HDMI slots. Also included are Wifi bluetooth and Wi-Fi receivers for sleek connection with components and wireless systems respectively. Battery power is ranked at a potential of 4000mAH, which HCL statements will provide prolonged runtimes even with high-definition movie play-back.

The HCL ME Y2 product, recognized as a third-generation product from HCL's collection, comes pre installed with programs tailor-made for the sensibilities of the Native indian customer. The Bollywood Hungama app comes with a special for HCL ME Y2 clients. Customers of the product get three months' registration free for installing endless songs, video clips, and ringtunes. In addition, clients get endless loading of films for a month from Dependency BIGFlix for a small amount of Re. 1. The included ThinkFree Workplace Mobile lets users create, perspective, modify, and share MS Workplace records.
