Panasonic formally declared the Xperia tipo and its dual-SIM relative Xperia tipo dual in May this season, but the smart mobile phone is yet to arrive at Native indian shoreline. However, you will not have to delay for long as the mobile phones are available for pre-order on store websites such as Infibeam and Flipkart. The Xperia tipo and tipo dual are required to be released in Native indian in the second week of Sept this season.

The mobile phones come with Sony’s very own user interface and are pre-loaded with Google programs such as Google Voice, Googlemail, Google Charts, and Google Speech Search.

The only difference between the Xperia tipo dual and the tipo is that the former is a dual-SIM smart mobile phone. The tipo dual allows you to change between two SIM cards using a devoted components key. You can set the SIM cards to use at certain times of the day, and also personalize each SIM cards independently with different ringtunes and announcements.

The Xperia tipo and tipo dual both have a 1500mAh power supply that guarantees stand-by duration of up to 470 time and talk-time of roughly five time. The Xperia tipo comes in four colors - red, white, azure and dark – while the tipo dual is available only in dark.

Let's take a look at some of the highlighted features of the Xperia tipo and tipo dual:
  • 3.2-inch, capacitive scratch-resistant TFT touch screen at a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.
  • 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi.
  • GPS, A-GPS support.
  • Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP.
  • 3.15 megapixel camera.
  • 2.5GB, expandable up to 32GB via microSD cards.
“The Xperia tipo is for customers looking for enjoyment encounters and performance typically associated with high-end Android operating system smartphones”, said Calum MacDougall, Home Xperia Marketing at Panasonic Mobile Marketing and sales communications. “It is for customers who want to realize the benefits of a smart mobile phone for once as they move from a function mobile phone,” he included.

The Xperia tipo and tipo dual initially had the design numbers ST21i and ST21i2 respectively. Both mobile phones have a style similar to other dual-SIM versions we have seen in the past. The style of the ST21i is not very motivating or particularly eye-catching. For one, it’s a big little mobile phone at 13mm width, and the dual chin area at the end is not successful it any beauty prizes either. It is only 99.4gm, though.

The Xperia tipo and tipo dual are available for pre-order at Rs 9,499 and Rs 10,299 respectively.
