Android-Powered Smartphone For The Visually Impaired

A specifically developed smartphone for the reduced and partly spotted has been released in the United Kingdom.

The system, called Georgie, has a voice-assisted touchscreen display screen and offers a wide range of applications to help complete projects such as capturing a bus, studying published written text and identifying location.

The mobile phone is operated by an Managing system os and uses current New samsung devices such as the New samsung XCover and Universe Ace 2, The BBC reviews.

The cellphone was developed by reduced husband-and-wife group Mark and Maggie Wilson-Hinds.

Roger said he and his spouse developed the cellphone to create the technological innovation available to individuals with little or no vision.

"It's exactly the type of digital experience we want to create easily available to individuals with little or no vision," the review estimated him, as saying.

"It is also going to help fix daily problems for reduced individuals so they can be more assured about moving the real life and become separate," he included.

Sight and Sound Technology, a company that provides components, are circulating the cellphone and software to reduced and visually-impaired individuals.
