One issue we had with the Gionee Elife S5.5 was its poor battery life at 2300 mAh. The Elife S7 houses a 2,750 mAh non-removable battery. We can only tell if that has indeed improved the battery life after testing the S7.
According to Arvind Vohra, the country CEO and MD of Gionee Smartphones, the response to Elife S5.5 and Elife S5.1 was impressive and the company is expecting huge sales of the Elife S7 as well. He said that the company has managed to sell over 4 million handsets in two years and aims to be in the top 5 smartphone players in the country by the end of the next fiscal year. He also said that all future E and S series Gionee smartphones would be 4G LTE compatible.
