At the launch event of Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone in New Delhi, the company also announced that its latest MIUI 6 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat will reach all its smartphones by March. The Mi 3 and Redmi Note 4G will get the update in early February while the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 3G will get it by March. The new Mi 4 smartphone already comes with MIUI 6.
The new MIUI 6 user interface aims to simply the experience for its users and offers customisable- notifications, aicons, lock styles- auto Email setup along with several new themes.
The new MIUI comes with a built-in security center which is powered by technologies from Tencent,
Kingsoft and LBE. It aims to protect privacy and claims to optimise battery and data usage. It also allow users to mark or block unwanted calls with several detailed options.
