OnePlus has made its official jump into the Indian market and from here; all the lucky (really lucky) invitee-winners can buy their own 'One' for Rs 21,999 for the 64 GB model. No sign of the 16 GB and that for all reasons, make complete sense.
As we've mentioned earlier, OnePlus has exclusively tied up with Amazon, online seller in India to sell the devices, albeit to anyone who manages to grab the elusive invite. OnePlus, via its commonly thronged forum, has declared that any OnePlus One smartphone bought by Indian consumers will get all kinds of after-sale services, including warranty. Buyers in India should be privy to the fact that the phone will be available via invite-only sales model and those will be confined to buying One Plus One in the country only.
OnePlus One sports a 5.5 inch full-HD display, running on CyanogenMod version software based on Android 4.4 KitKat. We're not sure, if OnePlus will be able to offer the CyanogenMod on the smartphone, after an unexpected turn of events. However, the company has already promised future version updates coming from the house of OnePlus which will now create its custom builds for its device, specifically for the Indian market.
It packs a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 3 GB RAM. On the imaging front, there are 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras. Storage wise, the phone comes in 16/64 GB options (around 7.5/54 GB usable) and non expandable. The big size device gets a big size 3100 mAh battery with fast charging feature.
