Acer Still Believes In Netbooks For Some Reason

Summary: Other manufacturers have been bailing out of the once-hot market, but Acer vows to keep making the little laptops.

You may have observed that pills have fairly much murdered the industry for laptops. Once about 20 % of laptops computer industry, the small and inexpensive laptops now represent less than 10 % of convenient revenue.

That's led organizations like Dell and Lenovo to give up the classification, and even Asus, which once taken over the area, has cast off laptops for pills of different tastes. And Google make an effort to market its Chromebook foundation has mostly been a dud. But none of this seems to have discouraged Acer, which will not quit generating laptops.

In an appointment with the Walls Road Publication,  Acer chair and CEO J.T. Wang statements that laptops aren't deceased, and wedding vows to proceed generating them even though Asustek CEO Jerry Shen considers the minilaptop classification will end in it all one fourth of 2012.

Why is Acer staking a take a position on netbooks? Wang says that the gadgets are still promoting well in third world countries, though he factors out that revenue in designed countries go with those in third world countries. While there is a certain reasoning that a less expensive system might still have feet in creating financial techniques, small pills now cost less than laptops, offer many of the same functions, and are seriously far hotter products. (Of course, Acer hasn't made a large sprinkle in the product world, so it's not exactly getting large benefits from that hot classification.) And as Apple is constantly on the work with its components associates to reduced the costs of Ultrabooks, those techniques will processor away at whatever business laptops still have.

Do you believe the fact that Acer shouldn't give up on netbooks? Or have pills murdered the category? Let us know in the Talkback area below.
