Sony Ericsson Phones From 2011 Will Not Be Getting Jelly Bean

UK Product Administrator for Panasonic Cellular, Bob Cooper was taking questions from customers on Facebook or myspace lately, and exposed that the Panasonic Ericsson Xperia Arc S and Xperia Small Pro will not be getting up-dates to Operating system 4.1 aka Jelly Bean OS.

Sony was yet to make an formal declaration regarding their 2011 mobile cellphone collection, and the Operating system 4.1 Jam Vegetable update before this. The Xperia Arc S was the Xperia mobile cellphone with the greatest requirements launched this year. So if it is not getting the update, you can be sure that none of the other 2011 mobile phones would be getting it. Panasonic is also yet to declare if the 2012 collection of Xperia mobile phones will be getting the update to Jam Vegetable.

Sony had previously declared that this year's collection of Xperia mobile phones would be getting the Operating system 4.0 Ice Lotion Food (ICS) update. The rollout for the ICS update was set to take place in a phased manner over the course of several weeks and Panasonic had mentioned that all sets for a specific design would not obtain the update at the same time.

As for the 2012 Xperia mobile phones, Cooper has said that Panasonic is still examining which devices are the best matched for the Jam Vegetable update, and that the choice will be declared on Sony’s Facebook or myspace page.
