Lenovo is expanding its presence in Brazil with the acquisition of local consumer electronics firm Digibras.
The Chinese PC maker is paying approximatley $147 million for the entire company, which manufacturers CCE-brand personal computers, phones and television across seven factories in Brazil.
Even though Lenovo is already the world's second largest PC vendor, according to recent IDC figures, that doesn't mean it can rest easy. Building out the business in Latin America could be what it needs to jump to number one.
