Microsoft Surface Tablet To Launch With Windows 8 On Oct 26

It's been a few weeks since the Los Angeles occasion at which Ms finally decreased its veil of secrecy, and declared its new Area product components to a rather amazed world. There remains much that we don't yet know about the Area pills - the constructed media were given very short period to see the components, and little time at all with fully working models - and the biggest questions of all (those of when Area will appear, and how much it will cost) have been met with a wall of peaceful atmosphere.

But Ms expert and correspondent John Thurrott has discovered verification that the company plans to make the first Area gadgets available to customers on the same day that Ms windows 8 launches: Oct 26 this year. On the Supersite for Ms windows, John outlined the appropriate text in a US SEC processing by Ms, which reads:

    The next edition of our os, Ms windows 8, will be generally available on Oct 26, 2012. Then, we will begin selling the Area, a sequence of Microsoft-designed and manufactured components gadgets."

As John himself points out, what this means is that only the Area Ms windows RT product (based on ARM architecture) will be created available on that date. At the Area release occasion, Ms verified that the Ms windows RT edition would send in 32GB and 64GB variants, but the Intel-based Area Pro pills - with full Ms windows 8 rather than RT, and either 64GB or 128GB of storage - would be created available 90 days later, showing a release in late Jan 2013 for these Pro gadgets.
