Ubuntu Smartphones Launching In October 2013, ROM Coming This Month

Ubuntu is one of the most-used Linux system distros out there, and it seems the nerds among us won't have to hang on very long before they get to use it on Mobile phones as well. Canonical creator Indicate Shuttleworth has informed the Walls Road Publication that Mobile phones operating on Ubuntu would be launched this Oct.

Shuttleworth didn't discuss any OEMs or the components for the Mobile phones. However, those itchiness to get their arms on the OS have reason to delight, as Shuttleworth mentioned that a ROM of Ubuntu will be available for the New samsung Galaxy Nexus later this month.

He also said that the os will make its first appearance in two significant marketplaces this season, but didn't expose which nations they might be. Shuttleworth did state that Northern The united states is a key market for Canonical. It is likely that the organization will launch its Mobile phones in lesser-developed marketplaces too.
