Toshiba AT300: First Take

Summary: Toshiba's 10.1-inch Android tablet gets a design refresh and updated specs, including a quad-core processor. It still has a few issues, but the price is attractive.

It was only a few months ago that I analyzed the New laptop AT300's forerunner, the AT200. Still, this new product has a improved style and modified requirements. There are three AT300 models: two are Wi-Fi-only with 16GB or 32GB of inner storage space charging £274 and £315 (ex. VAT) respectively, while the third is a 16GB Wi-Fi/3G style costing £329 (ex. VAT).

Toshiba has outfitted the AT300 with a lot of impact and a awesome physical style, while keeping reasonably reasonable prices. This  slim and light 10.1in. Android operating system product actions 260.6mm wide by 178.9 strong by 8.95mm wide and is 590g. It doesn't have the most strong feel in the side, but the stippled gold backplate is awesome and grippy. I do choose the look of the past style, which is also a bit slimmer and less heavy, although the AT300 is certainly no creature.
Toshiba's insistence on a exclusive energy relationship will annoy anyone who uses their product a lot and needs frequent entry to mains energy, as it means holding another AC adaptor. The lamps Micro-USB slot can be used for data return and USB coordinator, but not for energizing battery power.

The LED backlit 1,280-by-800-pixel display is secured by challenging Gorilla Cup, but does seem to lack the top-end lighting I've seen from the very best. There's also a minor problem with sound: there are two audio speakers, and they provide a reasonable amount, but audio excellent is slim and doesn't really enhance with earphones, either.

Toshiba ratings well on relationship, with Micro-HDMI on panel as well as a full-sized SD card slot. I rather like this: microSD cards can be covered via a caddy, but the bigger slot enables you to get pictures from a photographic camera on to the AT300. If you'd rather use the tablet's main rear-mounted photographic camera for picture catch, its 5 mega-pixel ability isn't that great, but it does have a small LED display. There's a front-facing 2-megapixel photographic camera for video interaction too.

The AT200 delivered with Android operating system 3.2, which is improved to Android operating system 4.0 on the AT300. New laptop contributes a reasonable few programs to the conventional package, such as ThinkFree Office, Evernote, a data file administrator, Splashtop for distant entry to another system and the McAfee Mobile Security package.

The product is operated by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 brand with 1GB of RAM, and is perfectly sensitive when operating programs and video games.

The New laptop AT300's excellent and photographic camera could be better, and I really don't like the exclusive energy wire. However, the quad-core brand is capable, relationship and development features are good, and the price is eye-catching.
