EU antitrust authorities are analyzing whether Ms blocks pc makers from installing competing web ie on its future Ms windows 8 os following complaints from several organizations.The issue is part of an research started out on Wednesday into the world No. 1 software organization's failure to offer users a choice of competing web ie which it had agreed with authorities three years ago, a spokesperson for the European Commission said.
The EU watch dog is also looking into accusations that Ms does not provide access to complete connections (APIs) for non-default ie in Ms windows 8, spokesperson Antoine Colombani said on Wed.
He said the research will also focus on charges that Ms allows only its own Internet Traveler internet browser to be installed on devices running Ms windows 8 on Ms windows RT pills with British chipmaker ARM's chips.
Colombani dropped to identify the organizations which created the accusations. Ms created no thoughts.
Windows 8 is due out around Oct. Ms windows RT represents the os for pills where the other players are Apple and Google.
Microsoft's pc partners include Lenovo Group , Acer and Asustek Computer.
